In 2014, with a wealth of experience in luxury retail management from top European heritage brands, as a founder I brought a unique blend of expertise and passion to the creation of my first venture. This background in the high-stakes world of luxury retail provided me a deep understanding of the intricacies of brand positioning, customer experience, and market dynamics, setting the stage for an ambitious venture for African brands & creatives : MOONLOOK
In the heart of a vibrant and diverse continent, on the shore of Cape coast in Ghana, some part of this vision came to life over a decade ago.

Fuelled by a passion for creativity, beautiful collectibles, timeless pieces and a deep appreciation for African heritage, I set out to create a retail incubator that would serve as a launchpad for talented creatives across Africa and its diaspora.
This initiative was more than a business; it was a mission to bring the rich, untold stories of African craftsmanship to the world. And so I did from Paris capital city of creation with my team : we bridged the gap.
From the beginning, my focus was clear: to facilitate international market access to products and collectibles that embodied African heritage DNA.
We partnered with creative entrepreneurs who were fuelled by the same desire to change the narrative and artisans who were masters of their craft, preserving century-old techniques and know-how passed down through generations.
These collaborations were not just about commerce; they were about cultural preservation and celebrating the unique artistic expressions of the African continent.
By 2020, our journey had brought us to new heights. We had collaborated with nearly 150 creatives in the fields of fashion, design, and contemporary crafts. Our efforts had generated nearly 2 million euros in revenue, both online through our e-commerce platform and offline in our boutique gallery, nestled in the prestigious Golden Triangle of Paris near Champs Elysées on Faubourg Saint Honoré.
This space was not just another store; it was a gallery that celebrated curiosity in all shapes, the fusion of tradition and modernity, a testament to the ingenuity and creativity of African artisans and contemporary aesthetic of an emancipated generation of third culture kids from Africa.
However, the global Covid-19 pandemic presented us with unprecedented challenges. The world was changing, and we realized that our approach needed to evolve and adapt. The pandemic forced us to rethink how we could continue to support entrepreneurs in the creative space amidst the uncertainties. It was a time of reflection and reinvention.
Today, we have emerged stronger and more focused than ever. Our retail launchpad has transformed into a branding and innovation agency with a renewed mission: to help African brands stand out in a crowded global marketplace.
We aim to guide them through the complexities of international markets and foster collaborations with institutions that strengthen local ecosystems. Our goal is to create lasting impact by empowering brands that carry the spirit of African heritage and innovation.
