About the client
LaKelle is a creative studio founded in 2017 by two sisters, Sharon and Viola. Both born and raised in Buea, Cameroon, they grew up blessed with a front-seat view of hard-working parents with modest upbringings. Originally from Babanki Tungo in the north-west region of Cameroon, their parents worked their way to becoming noble figures in their community while maintaining jobs and capitalizing on several business opportunities. In their world, as in most Cameroonians, everything is possible.

Both sisters then moved to the USA, where they studied and graduated with a bachelor's in Accounting and an MBA. Their willingness to be a part of the solution to Africa’s development pushed them to come back to Cameroon and start a brand that has meaning. In 2017, they decided to set off on a journey to provide practical, affordable, and size-inclusive fashion to the African consumer. Besides being fashion enthusiasts, they had no prior industry experience but rolled up their sleeves and worked. Learning and growing from the process, they have been building an impactful trajectory for Lakelle in Cameroon.
